Explorer Solutions selected to carry out a Local-Food Aggregation and Distribution Center Feasibility Study and Business Case for Peterborough and the Kawartha’s Economic Development (ON)


The economic development agency of Peterborough and the Kawarthas has recognized and retained the expertise of Explorer Solutions in the development of agri-food clusters to carry out this mandate. It includes the mapping of the sales and distribution networks of agri-food products throughout eastern Ontario, the identification of the demand volumes from the various clienteles on the territory (institutional, wholesalers, grocery stores, restaurateurs / hotels), financial and operational modeling of a Aggregation and Distribution Center and the identification of partners who can help finance and participate in the project. The mandate also included an extensive series of consultations across the territory, the choice of sites / buildings that may be suitable for this project and the drafting of the business case.
