Strategic Planning - Earlton-Timiskaming Regional Airport
The Township of Armstrong and Earlton-Timiskaming Regional Airport were seeking a consultant for the development of a strategic growth and business plan to outline clear strategies, objectives, priorities and opportunities for the airport. The plan included a business case for the transfer of the airport's assets from the Township to a non-profit corporation.
The Plan provided a 10-year strategic framework based on sound research and best practices in the aviation industry and identified objectives and actions that are tangible and achievable and within the financial capabilities of the airport to implement.
We provided a complete internal and external analysis of the airport to gain a comprehensive view of current operations, and then through consultations with relevant stakeholders and community members, formulated business ideas and identified sources of revenue (both aviation and non-aviation) and ventures for private/public partnerships, including a communications and outreach strategy. The Plan was an action-oriented, working document that identified the future development of the airport in a practical and sustainable manner.
